Hugh McDougall - Astro Stats

About Me

Hi, I'm Hugh, a PhD student at the University of Queensland working in astrophysics!
My specialty is in Bayesian modelling, with my current work being on applying modern tools like JAX and NumPyro to reverberation mapping of active galactice nuclei in the OzDES sample.

I hold an honour's degree in Physics at the University of Queensland, am 1-2 years into my PhD, and have also completed an Honour's degree in Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering.

You can find all my sciencey-projects on my github, and on this site you'll also find my blog on stats and NumPyro.
